In other library news, the Independence County Library Friends Foundation will be having a book sale next Friday, Oct. 4, and Saturday, Oct. 5. Sale items will include hardback and paperback fiction and nonfiction, as well as young adult and children’s materials. The sale will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Proceeds will benefit the Friends Foundation.
