Three charged Monday in Stone County Circuit Court

Two men and a woman were charged Monday in Stone County Circuit Court in three separate incidents.

After a sting operation in which confidential informers were used, court docs note Joseph D. Lewis (pictured, left), 29, is charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, namely crystal methamphetamine, and two counts of unlawful use of a communications device.

After a traffic stop on Hwy. 14 and an ensuing search, Azra Thomas Sweeney (right), 40, was charged with possession of meth with the purpose to deliver, endangering the welfare of a minor in the first degree, and three traffic violations including driving on a suspended driver’s license, according to court records. In addition, Sweeney is being charged as a habitual offender.

The third person charged in circuit court on Monday was Charley Mardean Sisk, 29. She was stopped on a traffic violation and found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia used to ingest meth, possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to store or contain meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to ingest marijuana, according to court documents.
