Shirley Ann Charping Shaw, 81 of Batesville went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019, at her home. She was born on Oct. 6, 1938 in Homer, Louisiana to Roy Tye and Mary Ruth Snyder Charping. She was retired from real estate and a member of the Ruddell Hill Baptist Church in Batesville. She loved the outdoors especially fall, loved to hunt and fish with her mate and collect primitives. She loved her Lord and her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Melissa Shaw Chapman; one infant brother, Leroy Charping and one sister, Betty Baker.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Douglas Shaw of the home; two daughters, Renee Martin (Dennis) of Batesville and Sharon Redding (Lindsey Turney) of Maumelle; three sisters, Patricia Hickerson (Dennis) of Texas, Brenda Hudson of Ruston, Louisiana and Debra Bailey (Roger) of Colquitt, Louisiana; eight grandchildren, Alisha Clark, Jason Redding, Jeremy Redding, Shane Martin, Sarah Jones, Katie Wiley, Jocelyn Martin and Kristen Martin; thirteen great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Alan Brown and Bro. Justin Clark officiating, Burial will follow in the Barnes Cemetery in Batesville.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jason Redding, Jeremy Redding, Shane Martin, Matthew Redding, Dennis Olive, and Lindsey Turney.
