Allen H. Wilkerson, 100 of Cave City died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2019. He was born Feb. 5, 1919, at Grange, Arkansas to Edgar and Esther Milligan Wilkerson. He was retired from the United States Postal Service and a member of the Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Batesville where he had served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He was also co-founder of the Cave City Volunteer Fire Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maxine Wilkerson; one son, Charles Wilkerson; one brother, Campbell Wilkerson; two sisters, Margaret Wilkerson and Lucille Howell; one grandson, Ian O’Brien and one great-grandson.
Survivors include one daughter, Vivian O’Brien (Marlin Dollar) of Woodlands, Texas; one son, David Wilkerson of Cave City; one brother, Kenneth Wilkerson (Marina) of Inverness, Florida; three grandchildren, Erin Robelia (Brandon), Shawn Wilkerson (Dee) and Jennifer Wright (Dalton); eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Batesville with Bro. Scott Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Dylan Wilkerson, Vernon Scott, Brandon Robelia, Dalton Wright, Randy Hooper, and Cody Dickey.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Robert Walton, Dr. John Lambert, and Dr. Jordan Weaver.
