NEA Tennis is bringing the After School Tennis Zone back to the Batesville Community Center, 1420 20th St.

Classes begin Wednesday, Nov. 6.

All children ages 6-13 are welcome to come to learn the game of tennis with their friends in a safe and healthy environment. The leadership and tennis instruction will be provided by certified tennis professionals.

The After School Tennis Zone’s “Focus on Success” curriculum includes games, drills, and physical fitness activities that improve motor skills, agility, hand-eye coordination, and it provides the opportunity for your child to succeed at a much higher rate than traditional tennis teaching methods, NEA Tennis notes in a release.

Equipment is provided, and classes will meet in the community center’s gym during periods of inclement weather.

Classes for ages 6-8 are scheduled from 3:50 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Click here for registration information for classes for ages 6-8.) Classes for ages 9-13 are scheduled for 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Click here for registration information for classes for ages 9-13.)
