The Mountain View Yellowjackets qualified for the Class 3A State Playoffs for a sixth consecutive season with a 36-20 victory over the Yellville-Summit Panthers on Senior Night at Yellowjacket Stadium in Mountain View.
Trailing 8-6 in the second quarter, Mountain View would get touchdowns from runs by J’Air Jackson for 13 yards and Tim Curran for 4 yards to take a 20-8 halftime lead.
Curran would score on a seven-yard run in the third quarter to increase Mountain View’s lead to 28-8, and Jackson would score on a 53-yard run in the final quarter to secure the victory 36-20.
Jackson led the rushing attack with 181 yards rushing on 13 carries and two touchdowns, while Curran added 135 yards on 27 carries and three touchdowns.
Mountain View improved to 5-4 overall and 4-2 in conference play, while Yellville-Summit dropped to 1-8 overall and 1-4 in conference play.
