The eighth annual Stone Bank Veterans Appreciation Day event is set for Friday, Nov. 8, at the American Legion Post, 1021 Park Ave., in Mountain View at 10:30 a.m.
The ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. and feature several local groups and remarks by Congressman Rick Crawford.
Other highlights of the program include:
- The Posting of Colors: The Stone County Honor Guard (Veterans from various branches of the military)
- The Pledge of Allegiance: The Mountain View Elementary School students
- The singing of the National Anthem: Haynes, Gardner & Howell
- The Presentation of Flags with Congressman Rick Crawford
There will be several other speakers recognizing local veterans, the introduction of local veterans in attendance, and a tribute to fallen veterans. A complimentary barbeque lunch will be served to attendees.
