Search warrants in Izard County executed in Violet Hill by the Izard County Sheriff’s Department and the District Drug Task Force culminated in the arrest of a man on drug and arms charges.

Sheriff Earnie Blackley said last Thursday the search warrants were executed at the Ronald Wolfe Residence off Mabry Lane in Violet Hill.  Blackley said firearms, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia were located and confiscated.  As a result, the sheriff said Ronald Wolfe, 58, was charged with being a previously convicted felon in possession of firearms, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell or deliver, and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.  Wolfe’s bond was set at $50,000 with a circuit court date of Nov. 19.

Failure to appear, along with contempt of court and/or probation violations brought jail time and no bond available recently to five in Izard County.

Sheriff Blackley said the five were:

Hollie Ann Wall, 37, of Salesville for contempt of court
Jim Wayne Dayberry, 33, of Mountain View for probation violation
DeWayne McKinney, 31, of Melbourne for failure to appear in court
Crystal Sanford, 36, of Flippin for failure to appear
And Floyd Alan Smith, 31, of Cherokee Village for failure to appear.

Blackley said Wall, Dayberry, and McKinney will appear before a judge in circuit court, while Sanford and Smith are to appear in Izard County District Court.

The sheriff also said that Brianna Lunsford, 22, of Sidney was arrested on a warrant for harassing communications. Her bail was set at $1,000 with a court date of Nov. 21, in Izard County District Court.
