Local businesswoman Ionice Lee Pierce passes away at the age of 77

Ionice Lee Pierce, 77, of Batesville went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019.

She was born on Aug. 5, 1942, in Batesville, Arkansas to Henry Lee and Neva (Ivy) Lee.

Ionice was of the Baptist Faith and a member of West Baptist Church. She was co-owner of Ind Co Cable TV, Inc in Batesville and a member of both the Kiwanis Club and White River Auxiliary. Ionice was a wonderful Christian wife, mother, and grandmother that loved her family. She loved life, shopping, traveling, dancing with her husband and most of all spending time with her great-granddaughter, Caroline Lilly.

Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, JD Pierce; daughter, Tami (Gerald) Ramey of Batesville; two grandchildren, Brooke (Marty) Stevenson and Grant Bentz; three step-grandchildren, Warren Ramey, Jarrett Ramey and Carley Ramey; two great-grandchildren, Caroline Stevenson and Cayden Hollett; sister, Mae Wilson of Batesville; and brother Thurman (Donna) Lee of Batesville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert E. Lee and Arlis Lee; and three sisters, Deda Lee, Bernice Davis, and Louise Roberts.

Pallbearers are Sonny Wilson, Daniel Lee, Joshua Lee, Shawn Drake, Ricky Wilson, and Randy Page. Honorary pallbearers will be Marty Stevenson, Tim Thomas, Chad Smith, Al Crouch, Bob Pomeroy, and Keith Harmon.

Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with Dennis Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, at the funeral home.
