Jo Ella Goodman gained her wings to be with the Lord on the morning of November 22, 2019. She was born in Newport on Jan. 28, 1937, to George and Lizzie Glover.
Jo Ella was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed camping, fishing, quilting, vegetable gardening and being with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman M. Goodman; daughter, Georgia Faye; granddaughter, Beverly Anderson; sister, Minnie Neal; her parents, George and Lizzie Glover; and her caregiver, Rick Pringle.
Her survivors are three sons, Herman of Pine Bluff; Gary (Marilyn) of Redfield; Keith (Patricia) of Star City; two daughters, Linda of Pine Bluff; and Della of Grubbs; two brothers, Franklin Glover of Amagon; Martin Glover of Newport; one sister, Polly Magness of Newport; five grandchildren, R. J., Hardin, Iris Winkleman, Kevin Goodman, Nikki Langston, Travis Goodman, thirteen great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was Monday, Nov. 25, 2019, at Dillinger Funeral Home with burial in Sandhill Cemetery.
