Sandy Deckard, 72, of Bethesda passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019.
She was born on Nov. 24, 1947, in Batesville, Arkansas to Eugene Claude Matthews and Sarah Ann (Lusk) Matthews.
Sandy was a member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church in Bethesda. She enjoyed genealogy, working in the store, yoga, stained glass, yard work and serving the community of Bethesda.
Survivors include her husband, Kelly Deckard; two sons, Jerry Paul (Teresa) Grissom of Batesville and Zachary Deckard of Bethesda; daughter, Misty Lynn (Joseph) White of Batesville; two sisters, Carolyn McClure, Tammy Dearmore; three grandchildren, Katey (Hunter), Kenna Grace and Jennifer (Cody); and three great-grandchildren, Slade Matthew, Maybree Ann and Newton Alexander.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Jerry R. Grissom; and one brother, Danny Matthews.
A celebration of life ceremony will take place at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, at Campground Cemetery with Larry Sellers and Jim Gilliam officiating.
