Kathy (Perry) Wilkerson of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019, at the age of 69. She was born April 22, 1950, in Newport, the daughter of Paul R. and Pauline (Fink) Perry. Miss Perry married James Harold Wilkerson Sr. on August 10, 1968.
Kathy attended Guilford High School. She had been a factory worker for twenty years and then worked at Wal Mart for several years. She was a member of the Lakeside Baptist Church. Her hobbies included fishing, cooking, working in the yard and yard selling. She loved spending time with her family.
Wilkerson was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Jeffery Wilkerson; and her parents.
She is survived by two sons, James Harold Wilkerson, Jr. and wife, Lori Jane, of Newport and Marcus Paul Wilkerson and wife, Sophia, of Newport; one brother, Marcus Perry of Newport; four grandchildren, Kevin Clark, Chris Clark, Leeann Gates, and Mary Wilkerson; seven great-grandchildren, Brentley Wilkerson, Tanner Wilkerson, Issabelle Clark, Avery Gates, Ava Clark, Brayden Clark, and Oliver Jones; her church family and lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Monday beginning at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Lakeside Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Fakes Chapel Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Austin Jones, Weston Gates, Chris Clark, Kevin Clark, David Anderson, and Ronnie Anderson. Honorary pallbearers will be men of Lakeside Baptist Church.
