The Southerners fell to Valley view 59-40 in conference action at Valley View Monday night to fall to 1-1 in conference play and 3-6 overall.
Devan Halford had 23 points to lead Southside, Brycen Sutton had four points as did Jonathan Shane and Rance Wagoner.
The Southerners will be back in action Friday night at Pocahontas.
