Sybil Faye Bishop, 82, of Batesville passed away Friday, Dec. 20, 2019.
She was born on Dec. 2, 1937, in Winslow, Ark. to August and Allie (Fowler) Reed.
Sybil was a loving, honest, kind and caring person; she made everyone feel like family and everyone called her “Granny.” She worked at Con Agra for several years and attended First Free Will Baptist Church. Sybil loved to crochet, sew and cook; she had many recipes and was known for her “Squirrel Biscuits.” She enjoyed working in her flower beds and collected coffee mugs from all over the states as well as other countries.
Survivors include her three sons, Torrey Bishop (Mary) of Melbourne, Brenden Bishop (Michelle) of Batesville and Kerwin Bishop (Cindy) of Charlotte; one daughter, Edwina Hurley (Kenny) of Cushman; ten grandchildren, Chris Hurley (Kaila), Brittany Hurley, TJ Bishop (Mary), Jordan Bishop, Tatum Bishop, Tyler Bishop (Lillian), Logan Bishop, Bryce Bishop (Haley), Heath Bishop and Brittni Young (David); five great-grandchildren, Ty Bishop, Taylor Bishop, Evelynn Bishop, Jack Bishop and Eli Bishop; one brother, Bill Reed (Ruby) of Winslow; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Gano Reed; and two sisters, Geneva Key and Sue Summers.
Pallbearers are TJ Bishop, Jordan Bishop, Bryce Bishop, Heath Bishop, Chris Hurley and Tyler Bishop. Honorary pallbearers will be Brittany Hurley, Tatum Bishop, Logan Bishop and Brittni Young.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2019 at First Free Will Baptist Church of Batesville under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with David Bishop, Ben Ryan and Bobby Sheppard officiating.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday prior to service at the church.
