Linda Sue (Winkle) Mitchell, 64 died on Dec. 23, 2019, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born on Nov. 17, 1955, in Batesville. She was preceded in death by her parents Dwine Winkle and Margie Rudene (Anderson) Winkle.
Linda worked for White River Medical Center in various positions and retired in 2014 after 38 years of service. She had a wonderful smile that would light up a room, a caring person who would always help those in need. Linda was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to cook, travel and spend time with her family and friends but most especially her grandchildren. Linda was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Batesville.
She is survived by her husband Danny J. Mitchell of 35 years, daughter Heather (Mitchell) Kelley, son-in-law (Bruce) grandchildren Sarah and Ethan Kelley of, Jonesboro. Also survived by brothers Don Winkle and Mike Winkle of Batesville, uncle Carl Anderson and aunts Billie Winkle Sprague and Sue Winkle Strait, nephews Wesley and Ryan Winkle and nieces Shelia Winkle Grizzler and Gerrica Winkle Waid, and a host of grand nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 27, 2019, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Willis Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, Dec. 28 at 1 p.m. also at Willis Chapel.
Burial will be held Monday, Dec. 30, 2019, at 1 a.m. for immediate family. Willis Funeral Service of Batesville in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made to the Calvary Baptist Church of Batesville or to the American Cancer Society in memory of her.
