More information has been released by the Batesville Police Department regarding the death of a man after a reported fight at an area apartment complex on Thursday night.
At 9:46 p.m., on Jan. 2, BPD officers were dispatched to a disturbance at the Lawson Drive Apartments behind the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville.
There, officers found a male victim, who was pronounced deceased by the coroner.
A person of interest was developed and was taken into custody a short time later on Highway 167 (North St. Louis Street).
The investigation is ongoing. No charges have been filed at this time.
