The Batesville Pioneers traveled to Randolph County to Battle the Pocahontas Redskins on Tuesday.
The Pioneers battled from behind most of the night and tied it up at the half, 31-31.
A cold third quarter for Batesville let the Redskins create some separation but the Pioneers kept it close all the way to the buzzer and fell 68-65.
Senior Caleb Anderson ended the game with 11 points and Junior J.P. Morgan had a double-double with 11 rebounds and 34 points.
Morgan is only five points away from scoring 1000 in his career. The Pioneers are now 12-4 overall and 1-3 in the conference.
They welcome in the Blytheville Chickasaws on Friday to Pioneer Gymnasium with four games that night beginning at 4:30 p.m.
