NEATennis is bringing youth tennis back to the Batesville Community Center.
The After School Tennis Zone returns for Wednesday sessions inside the center’s gymnasium, beginning Jan. 22.
All children ages 6-12 are welcome to come to learn the game of tennis with their friends in a safe and healthy environment with USPTA-certified coach Shawn Hooks (pictured below) of NEA Tennis. Ages 6-8 will meet at 3:50 p.m., while ages 9-12 will meet at 4:30 p.m.
The After School Tennis Zone’s “Focus on Success” curriculum includes games, drills, and physical fitness activities that improve motor skills, agility, hand-eye coordination, and it provides the opportunity for your child to succeed at a much higher rate than traditional tennis teaching methods, NEA Tennis notes in a release.
