Stone County authorities report a two-vehicle wreck north of Mountain View on Highway 5 in the Livingston Creek area on Wednesday afternoon sent three to the hospital.

Officers report a female, driving a Nissan south on the highway, crossed the centerline and struck the driver’s side front of a Dalton’s Wrecker Service truck that was traveling north.

The female driver was transported to Baptist Hospital in Little Rock while the driver of the service truck was taken to the Stone County Medical Center where he was treated and released.

A passenger in the service truck was air-lifted to a Springfield, Mo., hospital and is currently being treated in the intensive care unit, authorities said.

The Nissan, shown below in an image submitted by a reader, was demolished almost beyond recognition, officers report.

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated the injured passenger airlifted to Springfield, Mo. was a passenger in the Nissan when, in fact, they were a passenger in the service truck.
