Information is currently limited, but Independence County Sheriff Shawn Stephens said this morning that four partial bones have recently been found in the area.

The sheriff did not release the location of where the bones were discovered. He said they have been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab to determine whether or not the bones are human, adding he should receive the results from the lab soon.

Stephens told White River Now if the bones are found to be human, then his department will do a complete search of the area where they were discovered.
