Obituary: Elizabeth “Liz” Anne Garner

Elizabeth “Liz” Anne Garner, 32, of Batesville passed away Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020.

She was born March 8, 1987 in Batesville, Arkansas to Bobby Garner and Kimberly (Norman) Williams.

Elizabeth loved her family and playing games with them, she enjoyed spending time with her cousins and was a real animal lover. She was a girl scout for 13 years where she received her silver and gold awards.

Elizabeth was a Batesville High School graduate of the class of 2005. She had a great sense of humor and a contagious smile; she was very compassionate with other people and was involved with Celebrate Recovery at Believers Community Church. She was very creative and enjoyed writing poetry.

Survivors include her father, Bobby Garner of Batesville; mother, Kimberly Williams (James) of Batesville; uncle, Tim Norman (Cindy) of Jonesboro; aunt, Donna Cole of Batesville; paternal grandmother, Mary Garner of Batesville; step-grandmother, Ruby Williams of Paragould; as well as many cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Paul Garner, and uncle, Danny Garner.

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020, at North Heights Church of Christ under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with Brother David Insell officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday just prior to service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Paragould Children’s Home, 5515 Walcott Road, Paragould, AR 72450.
