It was a tight game throughout as the score was tied at the end of the first quarter and the Southerners led by two at the half and by one at the end.
With 90 seconds left, the score was tied at 44 before the Redskins hit a bucket to go up by two and then sank one of two free throws for the final margin.
Devan Halford had 17 for the Southerners. Jonathan Shane and Trevor Longo each had eight.
