The Pioneers hosted the Jonesboro Westside Warriors on Friday and fell in a couple of very hard-fought ballgames.
The Junior Pioneers pushed the Junior Warriors into overtime and lost in a very heated game, 56-54.
Caden Griffin and Trenton Mickel both had 15 points.
The Batesville Pioneers went toe to toe with the Warriors in the Senior Boys game with the lead changing hands seven times in the first half of the game.
However, Senior Riley Felkins proved to be too hot a shooter with 46 total points and he led Westside to an 82-69 win over Batesville.
The Pioneers had three men in double-digit scoring, Junior J. P. Morgan led the way with 20 points. Seniors Dawson McMahan and Caleb Anderson had 17 and 16 points respectively.
Batesville is now 14-7 overall and 3-6 in the Conference.
The Pioneers travel to Valley View on Monday to face off against the Blazers.
