Participants raising awareness and funds for a good cause will endure freezing temperatures Saturday as they make a splash in chilly waters during the 2020 Batesville Community Polar Plunge at the Batesville Aquatics Center, 1420 20th St., in Batesville. Registration begins at 10 a.m., and the “plunging” begins at 11 p.m.

The annual event is a fundraiser for Special Olympics Arkansas. Participants are encouraged to dress in festive costumes for the big plunges. Individuals and teams will compete for awards for the best costumes and most money raised.
