It was another tough loss for the Southside Southerners Monday night as they fell 46-39 to Highland at Southside in senior boys action.
It was a back and forth game all night long as the Southerners led 15-3 after the first quarter but trailed at halftime 23-21.
The Southerners’ defense gave up only four field goals in the second half but Highland hit 14 of 16 from the line in the half to hold on for the win.
Devan Halford had 22 points, Blayne Bufford pitched in seven.
