Dewey Lee Buffington, Jr., of Mabelvale, Ark., departed this life on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020, at the age of 86. He was born Feb. 11, 1933, in Newport, Arkansas, the son of Dewey, Sr., and Nora (Franklin) Buffington.
Mr. Buffington spent many years as owner and licensed agent of Buffington Realty Company. He enjoyed buying and selling real estate and automobiles. Mr. Buffington had a tireless work ethic, never retiring from the work he loved.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Delores Buffington; one brother, Thomas Blake Buffington; and his parents.
Mr. Buffington is survived by two sons, Blake Buffington and Mark Buffington, both of Little Rock; two brothers, James Gray Buffington of West Memphis and Michael L. Buffington of Fayetteville; many extended family members; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday, Jan. 1, 2020, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 p.m. Friday, at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
