Washington (Dub) Harrison Pry passed away on Jan. 29, 2020, at St Bernard’s Hospital.

Dub was born on Feb. 10, 1942, in the small farm area of Macks and Oil Trough, AR. He met and married the love of his life Brenda (Green) Pry on Sept. 17, 1965.

Dub was a member of the Surrounded Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Macks, AR for over 50 years.

Dub and Brenda raised their four children together on Hwy 14 West between Newport and Oil Trough enduring lots of floods and lots of mosquitos.

Dub enjoyed fishing with his grandkids, talking with anyone about anything, watching Gunsmoke, collecting what he called valuable junk, traveling to Mountain View, AR for the entertainment at the square, but most of all he loved to laugh.

Old jokes and funny stories from his life were always shared when an opportunity opened with the end-result being teary-eyed laughter.

Dub spent the majority of his life sitting in the seat of an 18 Wheeler. He drove thousands of miles around the country for several trucking companies learning new jokes and creating new stories to tell his friends and family.

Dub Pry is preceded in death by Earl Pry (father), Pearl (McCluskey) Pry (mother), Jimmy Pry (brother) of Newport and (sisters) Lorene Sperrazza (Trenton, NJ) Eva Ruddell (Newport) and Mary Lee Fiori (Trenton, NJ).

Dub leaves behind his wife (Brenda) of 54 years, three sons; Douglas and his wife Pam Pry of Newport, Chris and his wife Angela Pry of Jonesboro, Steven and his wife Amber Pry of Newport, and a daughter, Stacy (Pry) Villados and husband Steven Villados of Walnut Ridge, AR. Dub also leaves behind his most treasured legacy, nine Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren, and one Great-Great Grandson on the way.
