A Mountain View couple arrested just 30 minutes after allegedly robbing another couple at gunpoint has been officially charged in Stone County Circuit Court. (Click here for the original story.)
Dakota Acklin (pictured above, left), 20, and Kristin Hicks (right), 21, were each charged with aggravated robbery, a Class Y felony; felony theft of property; and interfering with emergency communications in the first degree. Hicks has also been charged with accomplice liability — which means she accused of aiding another in the planning and committing of a crime.
Both Acklin and Hicks are in the Stone County Jail on bonds of $200,000.
Authorities say they invited another couple on Facebook to come and visit them in Mountain View. However, instead of a friendly visit on Jan. 25, court records say Acklin and Hicks allegedly robbed the invited couple at gunpoint.
Acklin and Hicks were arrested by officers with the Mountain View Police Department less than 30 minutes after the incident.
