A Missouri couple whose vehicle was stopped on Highway 66, west of Mountain View, last Thursday, Jan. 30, for crossing the centerline is now in jail and charged with drug-related felonies.

After Trooper Justin Long made the stop, he not only found Carl E. Thompson (pictured above, right), 55, and Delores McNealy (left), 42, had been traveling without wearing their seatbelts, but the two were also found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, according to court documents.

Thompson was also driving on a suspended license and was without vehicle insurance while McNealy was wanted in Stone and Marion Counties for failure to appear, the documents said.

Each has been placed on a $50,000 bond.
