The Batesville Police Department said that their office was advised by a complainant that someone had stolen an Igloo cooler and a spare tire late Wednesday night (Feb. 5) from the bed of her pickup truck parked at an address on Lawson Drive.
The police were then called back to the address on Thursday and met with the complainant. This time she reported that the right rear tire was stolen from her pickup truck, leaving the truck on blocks.
Batesville Police said if you have any information in relation to the two crimes, contact them. Your identity will remain anonymous if you so request.
You are reminded that, for some reason, this is the time of year when vehicle break-ins occur on a more regular basis. To protect your property, remove valuables from your vehicle, and lock the doors.
