The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce held a groundbreaking ceremony for the future Sara Low Memorial Dog Park on Chaney Drive, Thursday, Feb. 6.

The park is named in honor of the late Sara Low, daughter of Mike and Bobbie Low, who died in the 2001 terrorist attacks of the World Trade Centers. She was a flight attendant on American Airlines Flight 11.

The dog park will be an off-the-leash dog park and has been made possible by the vision of Steve Bryant and private donations, the chamber said in a release.
