Stephen W. Thomas, 67, of Southside, passed away Monday, Feb. 10, 2020.
He was born on June 24, 1952 in Batesville, Arkansas to Fred Winfred Thomas and Clara Belle (Fallis) Thomas.
Stephen was a very caring person and he was always thinking of others. He loved the Lord and his church; he was a member of Central Avenue Methodist; where he loved teaching Sunday School classes. He graduated from UCA in 1975 and was a member of the Ozark Gateway Tourist Council and Arkansas Cattleman’s Association. Stephen loved to travel and has visited all of the states except for Alaska.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Diana (Humble) Thomas; and mother-in-law, Marjorie Humble Rowe.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and father-in-law, Calvin Humble.
Pallbearers are Adam West, Jim Cason, Jerry Cason, Don Hubbell, Bobby Denison, Dr. Michael Wadley, Carl Young, and Adam Dennison.
Honorary pallbearers will be ICU nurses at White River Medical Center, Dr. Krishna Kakkera, the Seekers Sunday School Class, Clive Blount, Dr. George Wadley, Lenard Williams, and Fred Thomas.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020, at Central Avenue Methodist Church under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville with Rev. Paul Seay officiating.
