Izard County Sheriff Jack Yancey has promoted a correctional officer to assistant jail administrator.

Yancey said the duties of Kaitlyn James will include the supervision of the day-to-day operation of the jail and dispatch.

Sheriff Yancey said James is a 2015 graduate of Izard County Consolidated High Scholl and has been employed as a correctional officer for two years.

“Kaitlyn proved to be very capable in her previous position and I believe she will prove to be very successful in her new position as assistant jail administrator,” said Sheriff Yancey.
