The Mountain View Yellowjackets season came to an end on Wednesday night with a 59–31 loss to the Elkins Elks in the first round of the Class 3A-1 Regional Tournament at Waldron High School.
The Yellowjackets got off to a quick start building a 13-8 early lead in the first quarter, but Elkins would our score the Yellowjackets 21-3 the rest of the first half to take a 29-16 lead at halftime.
Elkins would continue the offensive output in the second half en route to the victory.
Junior Bryce Baird led the way for the Yellowjackets with nine points and five rebounds, followed by J’Air Jackson with six points and Brayden Scribner six points.
The Yellowjackets season ended with a record of 11-15, while Elkins improved to 27-3.
