On Saturday, March 21, 2020, the Carius Concert Series will present “Collage,” a benefit concert for Main Street Batesville.

“Collage” will feature the vocal talents of Cindy Carius, Penny Wolfe, and Sarah Jo Sample along with instrumentalists Danny Dozier, Mike Foster, Irl Hess, and Ken Loggains.

Other special guests will include Dr. Mark Williams on vocals and Father Stephen Gadberry on harmonica.

The concert will take place at the historic Melba Theater at 115 W. Main St. in Batesville and will begin at 7:30 p.m. Doors for seating will open at 6:30 p.m.

Broadway, country, rock, gospel, and rhythm and blues will all be included. Featured entertainer will be Cindy Carius, who spent many years as an entertainer in Las Vegas and also recently headlined a sold-out benefit concert for Batesville’s Maxfield Park.

“When Cindy performs, she knows how to capture the attention of the guests,” said Mandi Curtwright, executive director of Main Street Batesville. “Batesville is very fortunate to have someone locally who has her incredible experience in a concert setting.”

The Carius Concert series began in 2015 with an endowment from the Carius Family. The vision of the series is to host a concert downtown each year to benefit Main Street Batesville. The concerts vary in theme and performers but they have all been held within the historic district.

Tickets are $20 and available online at mainstreetbatesville.org. They are also available at the Main Street office and the Melba Theater. A limited amount of tickets will also be available at the door. For more information, email mainstreetbatesville@gmail.com.

Main Street Batesville is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
