The Lady Southerners came up short on their bid for a Regional Championship falling to the Lady Pioneers 53-42 at Blazer Arena Saturday night.
It was the fourth matchup of the season between the Independence county schools.
The Southerners fell to 24-6 on the season.
Reese Gardner had 13 for the Southerners, Brett Gardner had 11 and Olivia Allen had nine.
The Southerners were almost perfect from the charity stripe going 11-12, the Pioneers were 17-20.
The Southerners advance to the state tournament for the first time in nine seasons and will face Ozark Wednesday night at 7 in Farmington.
