After finishing second last year, the Pioneers got redemption.
They finished first overall with a total of 268 points to claim the 4A-1A title by edging out the defending state champions, Magnolia Panthers, by 12 points.
The Lady Pioneers battled to finished third overall with a total of 202 points. Both teams combined for a total of 490 points.
The Boys 200 Freestyle Relay team set a new 4A-1A state record with a time of 1:32.07. The team consisted of Joseph Wells, Anthony Sonnier, Adrian Davis, and Nathan Hernandez.
