Grimsley Bullard, 80, of Newport passed away Saturday, February 29, at his home. He was born January 28, 1940, to William and Ruth (Davis) Bullard.
He enjoyed farming, grilling, St. Louis Cardinals, fishing, turkey hunting, collecting coins, mushroom hunting, spending time with his grandchildren, and never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant twins, three brothers; Wayne, Jackie and Lional, one sister; Doris Mathis.
Grimsley is survived by his wife of 59 years; Joyce Peterson Bullard of Newport, three daughters; Doris Dore of Newport, Debbie Kostelnik (Chris) of Rocky Mt., Miss., Carol Harms (Kevin) of Chatham, Ill., one brother; Benoni Bullard of Bradford, three sisters; Katherine Kennedy of Cabot, Regina Everett of Campbell Station and Martina Thompson of Swifton, three grandchildren; Matthew Kostelnik (Amy) of Eldon, Miss., Austin Kostelnik of Rocky Mt., Miss., Ryan Harms of Chatham, Ill., one great-grandchild; Dawn Kostelnik.
Services will be Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. in the Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Watson Cemetery in Newport.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 3, 2020, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
