A Tuesday night traffic stop led to the arrest of an Independence County man on several drug charges.
The driver, Jacob Johnson, 34, is facing multiple charges due to drugs and paraphernalia found in his vehicle during a search.
Deputy Jordan Harder first noticed a glass, drug smoking device in plain sight which gave probable cause for a full search of Johnson and his vehicle.
Officers found three glass smoking pipes, a set of digital scales, and a container of a substance that later tested positive as methamphetamine.
Johnson faces charges of felony possession of drug paraphernalia, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of instruments of crime, and three misdemeanor traffic violations.
He was taken to the Independence County Detention Facility.
