A community service worker who walked off the job in Independence County has been found and arrested in Texas.

Sheriff Shawn Stephens said this morning that Matt Thomas, who was working on a county truck collecting trash in the Pleasant Plains area walked away on Wednesday.

Sheriff Stephens said Thomas was working off fines on some misdemeanors and had been in jail since December of last year.
