Two individuals, a male and female, have been found deceased in a vehicle near Bethesda, according to a release from the Independence County Sheriff’s Department this morning.
The department says they received “…a call of two people in a vehicle possibly deceased,” on Sunday. Upon arrival, authorities say a male and female were located sitting inside a vehicle in a field off Earnhardt Road. The bodies are being sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for identification and cause of death, the release noted.
The case is under investigation.
In the release, Sheriff Shawn Stephens did not indicate if the deceased couple was known locally.
