The Mountain View Lady Yellowjackets are headed to the Class 3A State Finals for a third consecutive year after defeating the Charleston Lady Tigers on their home floor by a score of 67-58.

Mountain View took control of the game early jumping out to a 13-0 lead before Charleston scored its first points at the 2:22 mark of the first quarter.

Mountain View would push the lead to 17 as Sophomore Josie Storey led with seven points in the quarter and Johnson had six points.

Charleston’s Senior Baylee King would try to bring the Lady Tigers back with 23 points in the second half mostly on six three-pointers but Mountain View would hit 18-25 free throws (Junior Aubrey Isbell 10-12 from the charity stripe) in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

Mountain View will be making a third straight trip to the State Finals and will be trying to win a second straight State Championship.
