Obituary: Morris “Jack” Frost

Morris “Jack” Frost, 97, of Newport departed this life on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. He was born on October 26, 1922, in Farmersville, Texas, the son of Arthur Alexander and Frances Elizabeth Allsup.

Jack was a member of First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. He enjoyed working in the yard beside his wife, Linda, was an avid Dallas Cowboy Football fan, and spent a lot of time in the kitchen cooking.

Jack proudly served in the United States Army as a Duty Soldier with receiving a Combat Infantry Badge, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal with two Bronze Stars, and Distinguished Unit Badge (Presidential Unit Citation).

He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Jack leaves behind his wife of 34 years, Linda Roberson Frost; two step-daughters, Mary Roberson, Jeannie Roberson Long and husband Greg; five step-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren.
