According to the release from Independence County Library Director Vanessa Adams, the library will reduce its hours and offer curbside service only.
The library will operate from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday through Saturday from now until April 3.
Patrons must call ahead to reserve materials and come to the rear entrance lobby to pick up materials.
All patrons must show their library card before receiving items. The regular circulation policy will be enforced, but fines accrued during this time will be waived.
It was also noted that the outside dropbox will be locked and patrons must return materials to the staff in the lobby.
