Michael Douglas Knight, 69, of Tuckerman departed this life on Thursday, March 19, 2020. He was born June 19, 1950, to Alvie and Knoxie (Gates) Knight. He was of the Christian faith and a retired truck driver and musician. Mike was a kind and compassionate man who would give you his last dollar or a ride to the store. He enjoyed being with family and friends, playing music and going to Tunica. He also loved to make people laugh through his joke-telling and tricks. He will be missed by all that knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Alva Jean Hendrix-Songer.
He is survived by one daughter, Michell Ann Rodgers (John) of Tuckerman, one son, Michael Knight, Jr. of Newport, 13 grandchildren; Casey Lingle (Josie) of Calico Rock, Megan Morales (Marco), Brittany Winston and William Winston, all of Diaz; John “Trey” Rodgers III and Ray Rodgers, both of Tuckerman; Mia Suzanne Knight of Newport, Michael Knight III, Monica Knight, Brayden Cline, Dokota Cline, all of Bald Knob, Ashley Rodgers of Lake City and Rachel Rodgers of Kalamazoo, Mich.; four great-grandchildren, Alana and Kenslee Morales and Ariea and Adaleyah Lingle; seven nieces, Rhonda Pounders, Bridget Hendrix, Carla Burgin, Tracy Hendrix, Elizabeth Culp, Karen Jackson, and Kara Qualls; six nephews, Clifford Hendrix, Marcus Hendrix, Barry Hendrix, Cheyenne Hendrix, Raymond Hendrix and Albert Hendrix II; special great-nephews, Devan Hendrix and Coty Hendrix and great-niece, Darian Pounders.
Visitation will be at Dillinger Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2020.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at Gracelawn Cemetery.
