Independence County Library extends curbside service hours, continues wi-fi access

The Independence County Library, located at 267 E. Main St. in Batesville, will extend its curbside service hours beginning today.

Hours will be: Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday-Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. To check out materials, call the library at (870) 793-8814, ext. 1.

Library staff members will hold your materials for you to pick up at the back entrance of the building (pictured above). The front entrance to the library is locked until the library resumes full service. The library board and library director will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and reevaluate library services frequently. They wish to extend their gratitude to Independence County residents for their patience during this time. 

The library will continue to offer free wi-fi to patrons while the library is closed to the public. The wi-fi is accessible from Main Street, near the front entrance to the library, and also near the back entrance on Water Street.
