Ida Shoffner Dean, 77, of Newport departed this life Tuesday, March 31, 2020. She was born October 4, 1942, to James and Helen (Deaton) Shoffner. Dean was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a 1960 Graduate of Newport High School. She enjoyed shopping.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Her survivors are her husband; John Dean of the home, one son; Scott Eckler of Pompeno Beach, Fla., and one sister; Martha Shoffner of Newport.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jackson County Humane Society.
