Donna (Davis) Jenkins, 70, of Harrisburg, departed this life Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at her residence. She was born May 12, 1949, in Wynne, the daughter of James Oliver and Eltie May (Worley) Davis.
She married Albert “Bud” Jenkins on June 23, 1967, and they enjoyed fifty-one years of marriage before his passing on March 20, 2019. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one sister, Patricia Davis Moore.
Donna and “Bud” served fourteen years at Levesque Assembly of God and then they went to work in Wynne at Gateway Fellowship and worked there for six years. They spent twenty years working in the Wynne area and now she attends the Church of God of Prophecy in Harrisburg.
She enjoyed puzzles, sewing, crafts of all kinds, reading her Bible, being at the Harrisburg Senior Citizen Center, and her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family and friends.
Donna is survived by her God-Son, Billy Kirby and wife Jennifer of Port Huron, Mich., God-Daughter, Chaun Yielding and husband Josh of Jonesboro, God-Grandson, Blake Pulley of Little Rock, God-Granddaughter, Taylor Pulley of Wynne, one brother, Charles Davis of Batesville, two sisters: Edith Young and husband Allen of Jonesboro, and Bettye Harmon and husband David of Conway, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private with burial at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye. Due to current health concerns, a public Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
