Harold Dean Fisher, 87, of Newport departed this life on Friday, April 17, 2020, at Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro. He was born on September 12, 1932, in Newport, the son of late Ralph and Agnes (Rutledge) Fisher.
On November 27, 1953, Harold married Betty Barnett and they had four children, Chyril, Ricky, Marlon and Mitchell. Harold was a farmer for many years; after retirement, he joined the team at Helena Chemical Company as a truck driver.
He was a member of Holden Avenue Church of Christ and Twin Bluff’s Hunting Club. He enjoyed going hunting, watching Westerns and St. Louis Cardinals, but above all, he loved spending time with his family and especially, his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Chryil Fisher; two sons, Infant Ricky Dean Fisher and Marlon Fisher; his brothers, David Fisher, Marcus Fisher, Hugh Fisher and Ralph Fisher, Jr.; and a sister, Pauline Sutherland; one infant brother and sister.
He leaves behind his wife of 66 years, Betty Fisher; one son, Mitchell Fisher and wife Elaine of Swifton; and four sisters, Delois Honey of Newport, Lutricia Lucas of Southbend, Ind., Janas Gates of Newport, and Sue Wright of Quitman; three grandchildren, Allison Beard of Jonesboro, Kristi Mathis of Rosie, and Gage Davidson of Bentonville; and eight great-grandchildren, Connor Beard, Brianna Walker-Beard, Spencer Walker, Charlee Walker-Beard, AJ Walker-Beard, Bladyn Walker-Beard, River Mathis and Max Davidson; many nieces and nephews and a lifetime of friends.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Mickie Doyle, Darrin Hutchinson, Bruce Long, Jason Gates, Jordan Prine, and Doug Cockrill.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Watson Cemetery with visitation 30 minutes before.
