Sheriff’s Department investigating break-in at Southside pharmacy

local-news-team-19

The Independence County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a commercial burglary that occurred at Wilson’s Pharmacy in Southside over the weekend. The sheriff said the culprit (or culprits) broke a front window for entry.

The pharmacy is now taking inventory to determine if anything was taken, and if so, what the items were. Stephens said store and other video footage will be examined to determine a suspect or suspects.

In another case, Stephens said someone stole mail from a White Drive address that contained checks, and after an attempt to alter the checks, tried to cash them.  The sheriff says there are suspects in the case that his deputies are trying to locate.

The sheriff said he may be able to release more information on the two cases Tuesday.

And Stephens said his department also made arrests in two domestic violence cases that occurred over the weekend.
